Data Analyst
Data analyst responsibilities include conducting full lifecycle analysis to include requirements, activities and design. Data analysts will develop analysis and reporting capabilities. They will also monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvements.
Collect and interpret data from different sources, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
Analyze user behavior to identify patterns, uncover opportunities, and create a shared understanding of how our users are engaging with the system
Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
Provide clear recommendations from A/B tests, and/or other tests to stakeholder groups and product teams to measure impact of product changes
Investigate ad-hoc requests to provide quick insights to cross functional teams
Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, dashboards, etc.
Partner closely with business stakeholders to identify and unlock opportunities and with other data teams to improve platform capabilities around data modeling, testing platforms, data visualization, and data architecture
Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis that includes data integrity, testing, maintainability, validation, and documentation
Requirements
Key Requirements and Skills:
Proven working experience (at least 2 years) as a Data Analyst, Business Data Analyst or related experience
Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Able to write complex SQL including multi-table joins, grouping and aggregation, common table expressions, and conditional filters
Experience or familiar using different types of databases (MySQL, Redis, Cassandra, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Aurora)
Knowledge of data visualization software/tools (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, etc) is a plus
Statistical analysis and script language (R or Python) is a plus
Solution-oriented, self-motivated and self-managing with strong organizational skills
Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science and Information management, or related field.
