Safety Officer 3

What the role is about

The Safety Officer 3 will be in charge of the over-all environment, health and safety department of the company.

To be successful in this role, you should be able to enforce safety policies effectively, conduct audits and inspections, investigate accidents, ensure compliance with the standards set by the government and train employees and employers with regards to safety.

● Serving as Secretary of the HSE committee: Prepare minutes; report status of recommendation made; notify members of the meetings, and submit to the employer the report of the activities of the committee, including recommendations made.

● Acting in supervisory capacity in all matters pertaining to health and safety for the guidance of the employer and workers.

● Conducting investigation of accidents as a member of HSE committee and submitting separate report and analysis of accidents to the employer.

● Coordinating all health and safety programs for employees and employers.

● Conducting Health and Safety inspections as a member of the committee.

● Maintaining or helping in the maintenance of an efficient accident record system and coordinating actions taken by supervisors eliminate action causes.

● Providing assistance to government agencies in the conduct of safety and health inspection, accident investigation or any other related programs.

Qualifications

● Amenable to work onsite (both Delonix and YY offices- on shifting schedule but mostly on night schedule following EST)

● Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree

● With BOSH certification (40 hrs)

● With Advanced OSH Training at least 48 hrs (LCM/SPA)

● Must have at least 2 years’ experience as a Safety Officer
